5. Bigil
Released on 25 October 2019
The film satisfied the producers with a whooping collection of 300 crores at the worldwide box office. It satisfied Thalapathy Vijay fans, too. Rayappan character was the only major pillar of the film. The film's background score was done by maestro A. R. Rahman. The song "Singapenne" was received with an unbelievable response by fans all over the world. It might have voiced out for the raise of football in India, but the film failed to satisfy cinema lovers. The whole film speaks about the equality and freedom that women deserve, but the same film had only a ten minute screen presence for the lady super star, Nayanthara. Several scenes in the film were purely unimaginable and illogical. Yes, we can sure look out for logics in a sport-centric film. Overall, it's not up to the level of hype it received.

The film is set in the pre-independence era and tells the story of two revolutionaries who fight against the British Empire, which is a familiar theme in Indian cinema. Some viewers have noted that the film seems to borrow heavily from other films, including Hollywood blockbusters like "Gladiator" and "300". The film's trailer also features scenes that resemble other popular Indian films, which has led some to question the originality of the story. The film's trailer features stunning visuals and impressive action sequences, but some viewers have expressed concerns that the film may be overly reliant on these elements at the expense of character development and storytelling.

Some viewers felt that the film focused too much on the spectacle of the visuals rather than the substance of the story. While superstar Rajinikanth is a legendary actor in Indian cinema, some viewers felt that his performance in "2.0" was uninspired and lacked the energy and charisma that he is known for. Some viewers felt that his character was one-dimensional and lacked the depth and nuance that would have made him more engaging.
